Cory Isenberg | Lee finds Victory Lane at TVR

Former limited late models driver Dave Lee of Windber won the pure stocks feature Saturday night at Thunder Valley, his first victory in any division at the Central City track since 2000.

Third-generation driver Randy Burkholder of Chambersburg scored his career-first late models win while Brian Duffy won his 17th career TVR semi-late victory. Martin Visnosky captured his third victory in the past four four-cylinder races.

Points leaders are Steve Everhart (late models), Greg Cornell Jr. (semi-lates), Jason Vangilder (pure stocks) and Chris Booher (four-cylinders).

n Roger Laughlin won the Fastrak late model feature on Friday night at Dog Hollow Speedway, a career-first victory for the McVeytown driver.

Repeat winners at the Strongstown oval included Billy Eash of Johnstown in the late models, Jim Boyer of Indiana in the street stocks, Tim Laughard of Vinco in the pure stocks and Joe Petyak of Gallitzin in the four-cylinders.

n Barry Awtey of Jenners drove to his second super late model victory of the season Saturday night at Jennerstown Speedway. Points leader Jason Mignogna of Greensburg was second, with Meyersdale’s Mark Smith in third.

Tony Manganello of Harmony became the sixth different street stocks winner in six programs to take the checkered flag. Coulter’s Teddy Gibala was second and East McKeesport’s Adam Kostelnik was third.

Elton’s Larry Dunmyer won his first hobby stocks feature, followed by Jennerstown’s Clifford Zerfoss and West Newton’s Matt Sever.

n D.J. Myers won his career-fourth super late models feature at Bedford Speedway on Friday.

Derek Byler and Robbie Black won the two limited late features while Jim Sayler won his third street stocks feature.

Bill Replogle, in the hobby stocks, and Dave Lambert, in the four-cylinders, drove to career-first wins in their respective divisions.

On Friday, the super late models will be racing twin 20-lap features and the limited late models will be running twin 15-lap features. The street stocks, hobby stocks, and four-cylinders will also be on hand running features only.

n Former Motordrome Speedway track champion Garry Wiltrout of Somerset won the late summer crown-jewel Pizza Hut 100 for super late models last Friday at the Smithton oval.

Bobby Henry, Rick Miller, Richard Mitchell and Gregory Kelley rounded out the top five in the feature.

East McKeesport’s Adam Kostelnik won his seventh-straight modified feature event while Harmony’s Tony Manganello scored his second victory of the season in the street stocks.

Mike Lemley (chargers) and Paul Rosa (American flyers) were also repeat winners.

n Winners Friday night at Lernerville Speedway included Rod George in the sprint cars, John Flinner in the late models, Jeremiah Shingledecker in the modifieds and Bob Lipinski in the street stocks.
