Aust couple observe 65th date
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert H. Aust of Johnstown have observed their 65th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Aust and the former Eleanor Snyder were married Jan. 16, 1943, in Winchester, Va.
Mr. Aust was born April 20, 1919, in Listie, son of John and Josephine (Sedi) Aust.
Mrs. Aust was born March 29, 1920, in Rockwood, daughter of Wilson and Minnie (Schrock) Snyder.
Mr. Aust retired after 45 years’ service from Peoples Natural Gas Co.
Mrs. Aust is a retired registered nurse.
They are the parents of two children: Herbert S., married to the former D.J. Grabowski, Johnstown, and Robin, wife of William Bogler, Lewisburg, Union County.
There are five grandchildren: Pamela Aust, wife of Michael Crooks, Johnstown; Cynthia Aust, Washington, D.C.; Herb Aust, Hawaii; Cory Bogler, Stroudsburg, Monroe County; and Alex Bogler, U.S. Navy.
There are three great-grandchildren: Tyler, Austin and Landon Crooks.
