Heinleins mark 50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. John Heinlein of Summerhill have marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in New Germany celebrated by the Rev. Myron Kirsch, OSB. A gathering of family and friends followed at St. Michael Sportsmen’s Club.
All of their grandchildren attended the event.
Mr. Heinlein and the former Grace Vera Long were married Sept. 14, 1957, at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Summerhill by the Rev. Camillus Long, OSB, uncle of the bride.
Mr. Heinlein was born March 26, 1936, in Johnstown, son of Leo and Josephine Heinlein.
Mrs. Heinlein was born July 9, 1936, in New Germany, daughter of Albert and Clara Long.
Mr. Heinlein enjoys gardening.
Mrs. Heinlein enjoys cooking and quilting.
The Heinleins are members of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in New Germany.
They are the parents of six children: Frederick, and wife, Julie, Ebensburg;
Albert, and fiancee, Jean Galla, Summerhill; Mary, wife of Kenneth Plummer, Sidman; Doris, wife of Howard Kirsch, Spotsylvania, Va.; Eileen, wife of David Deskevich, Vinco; and Michael, Martinsburg, W.Va.
There are 17 grandchildren.
