Saintzes mark 60th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Saintz of Johnstown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 27 with a family dinner at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Champion.
Mr. Saintz and the former Mary Jane Frum were married Jan. 30, 1948, at Calvary United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lawrence Stahl.
Mr. Saintz, son of the late Edward P. Sr. and Ethel R. (Allison) Saintz, was born Sept. 19, 1929, in Johnstown.
Mrs. Saintz, daughter of the late Jesse S. and Blanche (Snavely) Frum, was born Dec. 23, 1928, in Johnstown.
Mr. Saintz was employed for 37 years by Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a cost analyst in the engineering department. A 33rd degree Mason, he was a district deputy grand master for 10 years in the 41st district.
Mr. and Mrs. Saintz are members of Calvary United Methodist Church in the Morrellville section of Johnstown.
They are the parents of three children: Marsha J., wife of Alan Lessig, Jeannette, Westmoreland County; Jeffrey W., married to the former Stacy Blair, Titusville, Crawford County; and Melinda L., wife of Paul Leonard, Johnstown.
There are six grandchildren.
