Rices observe 50th date

— Mr. and Mrs. James Rice of Salix have observed their 50th wedding anniversary with a Caribbean cruise.
Mr. Rice and the former Judith Lewis were married May 2, 1959, at Ministry of the Gospel, Cumberland, Md., by the Rev. C.H. Wakeman.
They are the parents of three children.
There are four grandchildren.
