Kotches mark golden date
Mr. and Mrs. John Kotch of Johnstown have marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a family cruise to the eastern Caribbean with their children and grandchildren. Their children also hosted a luncheon for their family and friends at Sunnehanna Country Club, Westmont.
Mr. Kotch and the former Rainelda Harchick were married Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church by Mrs. Kotch’s uncle, the Very Rev. Joseph A. Banik.
Mr. Kotch was born in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, son of the late Jacob and Catherine Kotch.
Mrs. Kotch was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Stephen and Rose Harchick.
Mr. Kotch is a retired supervisor for Bethlehem Steel Corp.
He enjoys saltwater fishing, woodworking and metal machining on his lathe.
Mrs. Kotch enjoys shopping, reading, gardening and lunching with her high school friends and playing cards with her childhood friends every month.
The Kotches enjoy traveling and family vacations in the Outer Banks and in Marathon Key, Fla.
They are the parents of three children: John, Southern Shores, N.C.; James, Lakewood, N.J.; and Tamarra, wife of Ronald Ball, Johnstown.
There are three grandchildren: Brandon, Ryan and Mikayla Ball.
