Mr. and Mrs. Robert Horner of Johnstown have observed their 60th wedding anniversary with a surprise luncheon hosted by the congregation of Hopewell United Methodist Church for family and friends in the fellowship hall. A private family gathering also was held.
Mr. Horner and the former Wilma Page were married Nov. 22, 1952, at Mineral Point United Methodist Church.
Mr. Horner is retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. as human resources director.
Mrs. Horner is pastor of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Hollsopple.
The Horners are the parents of four children: Debra, wife of Larry Gehlman, Boswell; Robert, married to the former Tracy Cooper, Johnstown; Gregg, married to the former Kathleen Shields, Frederick, Md.; and Traci, wife of Michael Krzywicki, Pittsburgh.
There are seven grandchildren: Meghan and Stephen Ganser, Abel and
Attie Horner, Grace Drinkard and Paige and Owen Krzywicki.
