Mr. and Mrs. Edward P. Wojnaroski Sr. of Johnstown have noted their 50th wedding anniversary with a two-week trip to Prague, Poland, and a re-enactment of a 15th century wedding in Germany.
On Aug. 10, a renewal of vows was recited at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. A special Mass was celebrated by a high school classmate, Monsignor Larry Kiniry, attended by family and friends, followed by a dinner in the church hall.
Ed Wojnaroski Jr. and Walt Wojnaroski, brother of Mr. Wojnaroski, were the altar servers.
Lectors were Aleks Wojnaroski, grandson of the couple, and Anthony Rametta, brother of Mrs. Wojnaroski. Two grandchildren, Teo and Flossie, presented the offertory gifts during the Mass.
Mr. Wojnaroski was born July 22, 1939, in Johnstown.
Mrs. Wojnaroski was born July 3, 1940, in Johnstown.
Mr. Wojnaroski is an Army veteran. He formerly served on the Johnstown School Board, controller for the city of Johns-town and is a retired state representative.
Mrs. Wojnaroski is a retired Johnstown schoolteacher.
They are the parents of a son: Edward Wojnaroski Jr., and wife, Sabrina.
There are three grandchildren: Aleks, Teo and Flossie.
