Fordicks mark golden date

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Francis J. Fordick Sr. of Lilly have marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a party hosted by their children.

Mr. Fordick and the former Helen Galus were married Sept. 1, 1962, at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Cassandra, by the Rev. Richard Vereker.

Mr. Fordick was born March 30, 1941, in Portage, son of the late Samuel and Mary Fordick.

Mrs. Fordick was born Dec. 15, 1944, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Galus.

The Fordicks are retired and enjoy their time with each other and with their family.

They are members of Our Lady of Alleghenies Roman Catholic Church, Lilly. They were members of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Cassandra, since they were married until it closed in 2009.

They are the parents of six children: Cindy, wife of John Maruska, Cresson; Christine, wife of Bill Patterson, Lilly; Connie, widow of Kevin Krumenaker, Cresson; Frank Fordick Jr., and wife, Jen, Portage; Cherri, wife of Vinnie Heiss, Lilly; and Crystal, wife of Jeff Hite, Lilly.

There are 14 grandchildren: Meghan, wife of Keith Maul; Brittany; Kayla; Joshua; Holly; Kristen; Leanna; Matthew; Francis III; Dallas; Chase; Connor; Dillon; and Celsey.

There are two great-grandchildren: Landon and Lydia.
