Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Mucciola of Windber have noted their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering and picnic given by their children at their son, Bob’s, home.
Mr. Mucciola and the former Jean Marie Vicini were married July 25, 1953, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Colver.
Mr. Mucciola was born Sept. 4, 1928, in Windber, the son of Nick and Michelina Mucciola.
Mrs. Mucciola was born May 17, 1930, in Colver, the daughter of Baldo and Lillian Vicini.
Mr. Mucciola is a Korean veteran. He graduated from St. Francis University.
He is a retired school teacher from Richland School District.
Mrs. Mucciola is a graduate of Windber School of Nursing. She is a retired registered nurse.
The Mucciolas are members of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, where Mr. Mucciola is a lector and adult server and Mrs. Mucciola sings in the church choir.
They are the parents of five children: Dr. Robert N. Mucciola, and wife, Margaret, Windber; Marian, wife of Dwight G. Fleegle, Windber; Dr. John Mucciola, and wife, Janet, Windber; Susan, wife of Jerry Pavlosky, Davidsville; and Joan, wife of George Napora Jr., Central City.
There are eight grandchildren: Nicole, Michael, Nick and Lauren Mucciola; Marla Fleegle; Jared and Jenna Pavlosky; and Mitchel Napora.
