Bensons note 65th anniversary

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Bob Benson of Jerome have noted their 65th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Benson and his wife, Liz, were married March 8, 1948, in West Virginia by

Pastor Dick.

Mr. Benson is retired from Galliker’s Dairy.

He was a veteran of World War II, where he fought in the Philippines.

He enjoys watching the Steelers and hunting.

Mrs. Benson is retired from Darfman Hoffman sewing factory.

She enjoys puzzles and knitting.

The Bensons are members of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church.

They are the parents of two sons, Scott, married to the former Ann Brown, South Carolina, and Rodney, married to the former Karen Henry, Thomas Mills.

There are six grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
