Siblings note anniversaries

JOHNSTOWN — Five children of the late Ruth and Andrew Weinzierl have noted wedding anniversaries of 50 years or more.

Russell and Dorothy (Weinzierl) Itell of Loretto will celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary. They were married April 27, 1957, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, New Germany.

Mr. Itell served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Vale Wood Farms.

Mrs. Itell worked for the Franciscan Fathers in Loretto.

They are the parents of three children. There is a grandchild.

Herman and Mary Ann (Dumm) Weinzierl of Summerhill will celebrate their 52nd wedding anniversary. They were married Aug. 5, 1961, at a Roman Catholic Church in Nicktown.

They had a dairy farm for 40 years and for the past 15 years raised black and red Angus cattle.

They are the parents of eight children. There are 28 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Carl and Gerri (Weinzierl) Rosenberger of New Germany will celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary. They were married April 30, 1960, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, New Germany.

Mr. Rosenberger worked for 10 years at U.S. Steel as an engineer and turn foreman; four years at Crown American Corp. as regional manager of malls and hotels; and 20 years at Holiday Inn.

He retired after 17 years as a wood-carver and wood turner.

Mrs. Rosenberger worked for eight years as a caregiver in patient’s homes.

They are the parents of five children. One child is deceased. There are eight grandchildren.

Fred and Rosetta (Weinzierl) Frank of Ebensburg will celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary. They were married April 28, 1962, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, New Germany.

Mr. Frank served in the Army. He worked for Long Barn Construction and Long Barn Inc., Ebensburg, for 45 years, and still works part time.

Mrs. Frank works part time at the Imperial Room.

They are the parents of four children. There are 12 grandchildren, one due in July, and two great-grandchildren. One grandchild is deceased.

Bernard and Muriel (Weinzierl) Farabaugh of Carrolltown will celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary. They were married July 16, 1960, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, New Germany.

Mr. Farabaugh is a self-employed farmer, raising beef cattle and hogs.

Mrs. Farabaugh worked on the farm and works part time at the Imperial Room.

They are the parents of two children. There are seven grandchildren.
