Regesters mark 50th anniversary

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Bill Regester of Homer City have marked their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise luncheon given by their children at the Rustic Lodge, Indiana. They also celebrated with their family at Bethany Beach, Delaware.

Mr. Regester and the former Vivian Hoffer were married Aug. 3, 1963, at Salem United Methodist Church, Rothsville, Lancaster County, by the late Rev. Kenneth Texter.

Mr. Regester was an administrator with Penn Manor School District, Millersville, Lancaster County. He was the superintendent of Keystone School District, Knox, Clarion County, and Selinsgrove School District.

He retired from Susquehanna University as director of career services.

Mrs. Regester was a special education teacher in Manheim Central School District, Union School District, Clarion-Limestone School District and Lewisburg School District.

She retired from Juniata County School District.

The Regesters are members of the Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, Ebensburg.

They have been on 20 mission trips and have traveled to six continents.

They are the parents of four children: Greg Regester, Pittsburgh; the Rev. Todd Regester, and wife, Annette, Flint, Mich.; Kurt Regester, and wife, Elisabeth, Emlenton, Venango County; and Jill, wife of Bruce Moriconi, Northern Cambria.

There are eight grandchildren: Brianna, Cameron, Logan, Parker, Madison and Laurel Regester and Brock and Braden Moriconi.
