Freemans mark 60th date

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Freeman of Friedens have marked their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Applebee’s.

Mr. Freeman and the former Margaret Marie Thomas were married Sept. 12, 1952, at Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Harold Rowe.

Mr. Freeman was born Feb. 17, 1935, in Johnstown, son of Alvin and Sarah Freeman.

Mrs. Freeman was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Johnstown, daughter of Irvin and Annie Thomas.

Mr. Freeman retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp.

He enjoys spending time with family and friends and loves watching the “judges” on TV.

Mrs. Freeman retired from W.T. Grant Co., and worked at Mostoller’s Popcorn Factory, Hi-Way Hardware and housecleaning.

She enjoys spending time with family and friends

and loves shopping at The Salvation Army and Dollar Store.

The Freemans are members of Arbutus Church of the Brethren.

They are the parents of three children: Diane, West Virginia; Patricia, Johnstown; and Robert I., and wife, Michele, Greensburg.

There are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
