Walters couple note 50th date

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Ken Walters of Johnstown have noted their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Walters and the former Diana Donoughe were married Oct. 10, 1963, at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, N.J.

Mr. Walters was born Aug. 18, 1941, in Dunlo, son of Harry and Margaret Walters.

Mrs. Walters was born Jan. 15, 1944, in Beaverdale, daughter of Gerald and

Margaret Donoughe.

Mr. Walters retired after 31 years’ service from Korns Galvanizing.

He is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys camping with his family along the Juniata River.

Mr. Walters is a member of Dunlo Rod and Gun Club.

Mrs. Walters has worked for 35 years at Furst Enterprises as property manager, and continues to work full time.

She enjoys fishing, boating and camping with family and friends and bingo and building puzzles.

They are avid Steelers and Forest Hills Rangers fans.

They are the parents of three children: Tina Marie of Mercersburg, Franklin County; Jake, Windber; and Sherry Lynn, Windber.

There are seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
