Millers observe 60th date

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Dalton “Sonny” Miller of Kerens, Texas, formerly of Windber, have observed their 60th wedding anniversary with a family gathering hosted by their daughters at Richland Chambers Reservoir.

Mr. Miller and the former Doris Edwards were married Aug. 30, 1952, in Edgewater, Colo.

Mr. Miller retired in 1993 from the Air Force after serving for 34 years in various locations such as Colorado, Florida, Mississippi, Okinawa, Japan, South Korea, Germany and Turkey, then settled in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mrs. Miller was a nurse in hospitals in Fort Worth for 27 years.

The Millers continue to make lasting memories with extended circle of family and friends at their home in Kerens.

They are avid gardeners, ice cream connoisseurs and “piddlers.”

The Millers are the parents of three daughters: Denise, wife of David Webb, Haslet, Texas; Deana, wife of Richard Trawick, Hillsboro, Texas; and

Darcel, wife of Tom Shelman, Kerens.

There are more than 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
