BREAKING – Redevelopment Authority ex-chief indicted

Ron Repak faces federal extortion and bribery charges

JOHNSTOWN — The long-time executive director at Johnstown Redevelopment Authority has been indicted by a federal grand jury.

Ronald W. Repak, 62 of Gerry Lane in Richland Township faces charges of bribery and extortion, U.S.Attorney David J. Hickton announced in a a a press release.

Repak was fired from the authority in February for double dipping on the former Greater Johnstown Technology Park project.

Repak and his assistant Deborah Walters are accused of being paid as private consultants at the same time they were working on the project for the authority.
