FLASH | Flood warning extended until 10:30 p.m.

— The National Weather Service, State College, has extended the flash flood warning for southwestern Cambria County and northeastern Somerset County until 10:30 p.m.

The previous warning expired at approximately 8 p.m., but NOAA reports thunderstorms will continue to develop through the evening. Heavy downpours will briefly reduce visibility on the roads and cause ponding on roadways and other drainage areas.

At 7:22 p.m., the NWS doppler radar detected another patch of heavy rain moving in from the southwest. It is expected to produce additional urban flooding, as well as cause streams and creeks to rise.

Report all flooding, hail or wind damage to the National Weather Service by calling (877) 633-6772 or by posting to the NWS Facebook or Twitter.
