BREAKING -- Police investigating alleged school threat

Classes continue at Conemaugh Valley under strong 'police presence.'

JOHNSTOWN — Classes are continuing as scheduled today, but with a strong “police presence,” at Conemaugh Valley High School after one student reported overhearing another boy make threats on Thursday.

Lockers and other areas of the school were searched after Thursday’s report, and no weapons were found Superintendent David Lehman said.

After-school activities will be cancelled and the school play this weekend will be rescheduled, Lehman said.

Parents have been notified and advised they may take their children out of school if they have safety concerns.
