JOHNSTOWN — Lawyer gains Who’s Who designation

Randi J. Silverman, founding member of the law firm of Silverman, Tokarsky, Forman & Hill LLC, has been named a Worldwide Who’s Who Professional of the year in family law.

Silverman began practicing law in 1987 in Pittsburgh.

In 1990, she moved to Johnstown and worked for a firm as an associate attorney until 1995, when she was named partner.

She left in 2000 to form the firm of Silverman, Tokarsky, Forman & Hill.

The practice since has expanded to seven attorneys and is focused on family law, estate planning and administration and civil litigation.

Silverman has 25 years of legal experience and has concentrated on family law during the past 23 years.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in the administration of justice from Penn State University in 1983 and a juris doctorate from the University of Dayton Law School in 1987.

She also holds a certificate in collaborative law and was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court in 2005.

She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Family Law Section, where she serves on the council. She also is a member of the Cambria County Bar Association, where she has served as chairwoman of the family law committee for a number of years. She also is a member of the Somerset County Bar Association.

Businessman joins CFO services firm

B2B CFO is expanding in central Pennsylvania with the addition of Steve Koval as partner. Koval joins B2B CFO after a 32-year corporate career in executive financial and IT management.

He is the 13th B2B CFO partner in Pennsylvania.

With more than 200 partners across the country, B2B CFO is the nation’s largest CFO services firm. The firm provides CFO services to local business owners, emerging and mid-market companies.

Koval joined B2B CFO as a partner in November. His clients benefit from his combination of executive finance, IT and consulting experience supported by resources from the national firm. Koval is working with a diverse group of clients in Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining B2B CFO, Koval served in several key senior financial and IT-oriented positions at public and private organizations.

His previous experience includes telecommunications and cable TV, broadcasting and media, e-commerce and Internet technology, retail and wholesale distribution, banking and professional services.

Koval earned his bachelor’s degree in the accounting honors program from Penn State University. He attended Loyola College of Maryland to pursue a master’s degree in finance. He is a certified public accountant.

Koval is a member of the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County, the Blair County Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Chamber of Commerce.

Koval has been a resident of the State College area for more than 25 years.

Woman attains divorce certification

Monica M. Garver recently completed a specialized educational program in professional divorce analysis and is now a certified divorce financial analyst through the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts.

Garver is trained to provide financial information and assistance to people going through a divorce. She evaluates the tax implications of dividing property and the financial impact of various settlement options for dividing marital property (including all qualified plan assets and pensions) and child and spousal support payments.
