Business people: Friedens man earns license as planner

— Josh Barron of Friedens, an employee of Boyer Financial Planning, was recently licensed as a financial planner.

A 2010 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, he also is Series 7 certified.

His duties at Boyer will include research analysis and recruiting new clients.

Ligonier man among St. Vincent honorees

LATROBE – Four St. Vincent College and Archabbey employees recently were honored for 25 years of service at a luncheon for all employees at the Fred M. Rogers Center.

Lawrence Hendrick of Ligonier, director of the facilities management office, was among those honored.

The luncheon was hosted by Brother Norman W. Hipps, O.S.B., president, who also made remarks.

Exec earns promotion at 1st Summit Bank

Polly A. Previte has been promoted to senior vice president and operations officer for 1st Summit Bank.

In her new role she will oversee the operations of retail banking along with her duties as training coordinator and security officer.

Previte sits on the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Professional Development Committee, which keeps abreast of changes in the industry and approves educational programs.

She has been with the 1st Summit since 1986 and has held various positions in retail banking. She works out of the corporate office in Richland Township.
