In brief: UPJ speaker to talk about exports

The Tribune-Democrat

— David Meale, deputy director of the Office of Monetary Affairs in the State Department, will speak about exports at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Living/Learning Center University Room at Pitt-Johnstown.

He will talk about the National Export Initiative.

The NEI is an initiative to improve conditions that directly affect the private sector’s ability to export. The NEI will help meet the nation’s goal of doubling exports over the next five years by working to remove trade barriers abroad, helping firms overcome barriers to entering new export markets, assisting with financing and pursuing a government-wide approach to export advocacy abroad.

The lecture, sponsored by the Pitt-Johnstown Political Science Club, is free to the public.
