Business people | Goughnour named senior manager

— John Goughnour, son of Tom and Sally Goughnour of Upper Yoder Township, has been named as senior manager of global sales training team with Alexion Pharmaceuticals Inc., Chesire, Conn.

Goughnour is a 1996 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and a summa cum laude graduate of Clarion University. He is completing a master’s degree in business administration at Quinnipiac University.

He previously was a hospital systems manager at Amgen Pharmaceuticals.

He started his career with Pfizer in Columbus, Ohio, as a primary care representative.

Goughnour is married to the former Stacey Gearhart, also of Johnstown.

They are the parents of two children.

Gvozdich named to leadership institute

Christopher G. Gvozdich of Gvozdich Law Offices in Ebensburg has been named to the Pennsylvania Bar Association Bar Leadership Institute.

Candidates are required to demonstrate leadership ability, commit to attendance and participation in events, be currently licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, be a PBA member or have practiced five years or less.

He resides in Richland Township.

Two earn retirement income certification

Kayla Puchko Stephenson, associate general agent at Puchko Financial Associates Inc., Johnstown, and Douglas Puchko, president and general agent at Puchko Financial, have completed the retirement income certified professional designation.

Each is trained to understand how to structure effective retirement income plans, how to mitigate risks to the plan, and how to create a sustainable stream of income to last throughout a client’s retirement years.
