Three employees of Allegheny Chesapeake Physical Therapy recently finished a continuing education course.
Dave Risaliti, Kimberly (Pasierb) Todaro and Anne Risaliti completed the course titled “Musculoskeletal Imaging for the Primary Care Physical Therapist.”
Allegheny Chesapeake Physical Therapy serves the physical and occupational therapy needs of a wide range of clients including patients, physicians, nursing facilities, hospitals, school districts, local companies and industry. It operates outpatient centers throughout Cambria, Allegheny and Butler counties. Local offices include ones in Johnstown, Portage, Northern Cambria and Ebensburg.
Somerset Trust Co. hires commercial lender
Michael Stevens recently joined Somerset Trust Co. as commercial lender at the bank’s branch at 1416 Scalp Ave. in Richland Township.
Stevens’ background includes positions at Johnstown Bank & Trust Co., Laurel Bank and Mainline National Bank. His resume includes experience in computer programming, bank operations, retail operations, customer service and call center management. He has worked in commercial lending for more than 14 years.
Stevens is a graduate of St. Francis University and the Central Atlantic School of Commercial Banking at Bucknell University.
A lifelong resident of Somerset County, Stevens is a board member and vice chairman of the Allegheny Christian Services Corp. and Allegheny Christian Ministries Inc. He is a past board member of the American Red Cross Keystone Chapter and a member of the Greater Johnstown/Cambria County Chamber of Commerce and the Johnstown Industrial Development Corp. For five years, he was a loaned executive to the United Way Campaign and is a treasurer and founding member of Laurel Highlands Networking. He is also a PIAA soccer official.
1st Summit Bank employee promoted to senior VP
Polly A. Previte has been promoted to senior vice president and operations officer at 1st Summit Bank.
In her new role she will oversee the operations of retail banking along with her duties as training coordinator and security officer.
Previte sits on the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Professional Development Committee, which keeps abreast of changes in the industry and approves association educational programs.
She has been with the bank since 1986 and has held various positions in retail banking.
Longtime banker joins trust department in Somerset
David Thomson recently joined Somerset Trust Co.’s trust department at 131 N. Center Ave., Somerset.
Thomson comes to Somerset Trust with extensive banking experience, working for more than 35 years in commercial banking in western Pennsylvania.
He worked for Clearfield Bank and Trust Co. and AmeriServ Trust and Financial Services. He also has a background in trust and financial services, banking, relationship building and financial planning.
Thomson is a graduate of Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in education, majoring in business education, accounting and data processing.
REA Energy Cooperative board member re-elected
James Harteis of Ebensburg was re-elected to a four-year term on REA Energy Cooperative Inc.’s board of directors.
He was elected Oct. 11 during REA’s 75th annual meeting at the Indiana Junior High School.
Other elected officers include Herman Blakley, president; Michael Bertolino, vice president; Jack R. Rising, secretary/treasurer; and Rick Shope.
REA Energy Cooperative Inc. is a nonprofit electric distribution cooperative founded in 1937 and owned by the 18,894 members served in Indiana, Cambria, Westmoreland, Armstrong, Jefferson, Blair and Clearfield counties.
