Shanksville-Stonycreek 15, Berlin Brothersvalley 5 (6): In Shanksville, Steve Weible went 2-for-4 with a triple and one run batted in, and Levi Brant went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs as the Vikings beat visiting Berlin Brothersvalley.
The Mountaineers’ Cameron McClucas went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Penns Manor 6, Blacklick Valley 4: In Nanty Glo, Luke Popovich singled, had a sacrifice fly and drove in two runs as Penns Manor beat host Blacklick Valley.
Isaac Wurm went 2-for-3 with a double and one run scored and one run batted in for Blacklick. Tyler Hagedus went 2-for-3 and scored twice.
Northern Cambria 9, Homer-Center 7: In Northern Cambria, Josh Prasko struck out 10 batters while Colts teammates Mack Novella (three RBI) and B.J. Olenchick (two runs scored) each tallied two hits in a Heritage Conference win.
Darren Carr had three hits and two RBI for the Wildcats.
Portage 5, Claysburg-Kimmel 4: In Portage, Mustangs starting hurler Michael Bryja proved to be pretty handy at the plate with three hits and a pair of RBI in his squad’s narrow win over the Bulldogs.
C.W. Miller collected two hits and drove in a run for the hosts.
Claysburg-Kimmel’s Dakota Chamberlain and Nathan Mussleman each had two hits.
Bishop Carroll 14, Cambria Heights 3: In Patton, Kenny Weiland hit a grand slam homer, and Marty Lessard went 3-for-4 with a triple and four RBI as Bishop Carroll beat host Cambria Heights.
Eric Ford hit a two-run homer for Cambria Heights.
Meyersdale 10, Ferndale 2: In Meyersdale, Jason Ritchey had three hits, scored two runs and stole two bases as the Red Raiders beat Ferndale.
Brady McKenzie and Riley Christner each doubled. Logan White had two hits. McKenzie pitched five innings, striking out six and walking two.
Ferndale’s Julius Thomas doubled.
Conemaugh Valley 15, Harmony 4: In Westover, Conemaugh Valley’s Cody Gill and Corey Kalinyak each had two hits, and Kalinyak and Jake McMonagle each drove in four runs as the Blue Jays beat host Harmony.
Windber 7, Berlin Brothersvalley 6: In Windber, Bryce Spak fired off nine strikeouts in relief and earned the win as Jesse Sloan doubled in Ramblers catcher Cameron Banjak in the bottom of the seventh. Spak also scored three runs for Windber.
The Mountaineers’ Chandler McClucas had two RBI as teammate Kevin James picked up two hits.

Yahner’s vault highlights area boys day at D6
It was an afternoon of firsts for area athletes Tuesday at the District 6 Class AA Track and Field Championships at Mansion Park.
The biggest factor was the lightning and sheets of rain which caused flooding throughout the venue.
Area girls fare well prior to weather stoppage
It was an unprecedented and abrupt ending Tuesday at the District 6 Class AA Track and Field Championships at Mansion Park.
Lightning and a torrential downpour which lasted over a half hour halted events at the meet at around the halfway point. Action will pick up at 4 p.m. today, weather permitting.

North rally bolstered by Lee, hot shooting
Bishop Carroll’s Marcus Lee has had a hectic schedule while juggling a deep PIAA playoff run, a series of three all-star basketball events and the early portion of the scholastic track and field season.
Lee didn’t miss a step on Sunday afternoon.

Senior Hoops Showcase rosters announced
The rosters for the seventh annual AmeriServ Senior Hoops Showcase are set, with 1,000-point scorers, 500-rebound players and conference and district champions represented on the boys’ and girls’ all-star squads.
The Showcase will be played on Sunday, April 6 at the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center. The girls’ game begins at 1 p.m., with the boys contest to follow at 3 p.m.
