Mount swept by PS Behrend

CRESSON - Mount Aloysius dropped a twin bill to Penn State Behrend in AMCC conference play on Sunday.

Lindsy Sammarco hit a home run in the third inning and was 3-for-4 in the first game. Jalisa Westover and Taylor Mansfield also had multiple hits in the game.

In Game 2, Megan Thomas was 2-for-2 and Kiersten Lorditch hit a three-run triple for the Mounties, who fell to 17-7.

Tennis

Kush honored in Pittsburgh

Adam Kush of Westmont was recognized at an awards luncheon at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsburgh by the Middle States Tennis Committee for his accomplishments.

Kush is the top-ranked 12-year-old boys’ player in Pennsylvania and the third-ranked player in the middle states, which comprises Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Kush is ranked 64th nationally in his age group.
