SFU volleyball player represents Northeast Conference to NCAA

LORETTO - The NCAA selected St. Francis University women’s volleyball player Logan Meinert to represent the Northeast Conference (NEC) as its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative.

Meinert is one of 31 student-athletes representing all Division I conferences to the NCAA. She is also the first SFU student-athlete to take on this role.

The NCAA chose Meinert after she applied for the position. The NEC selected Meinert as a finalist before passing her name on to the NCAA. Meinert’s term officially begins July 1, 2013 and runs through July 1, 2015.

Meinert is currently the vice president of SFU’s SAAC and worked as the co-editor-in-chief of the SFU SAAC newsletter. She also was a member of the APPLE Team that attended the APPLE Conference located in Charlottesville, Va. in January.
