JOHNSTOWN — Williams gains dual honors

LORETTO – St. Francis University women’s basketball junior forward Alli Williams earned national recognition as the College Madness National Mid-Major Player of the Week.

Williams also earned the Choice Hotels Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week honor for the second consecutive week.

Williams put up 22 points and pulled down a career-high 19 rebounds in helping St. Francis beat Bucknell 62-54 on the road last week.

On Sunday, Williams scored 22 points, tallied 13 rebounds and had a career-high seven assists in a winning effort against Akron in Loretto, 74-73.

Williams had a double-double in all three games as the Red Flash started the season 3-0 before falling at nationally ranked Ohio State on Tuesday.

Williams has taken been NEC player of the week five times in her career.
