Sweet success from sour experience

JOHNSTOWN — Talk about making lemonade when life gives you lemons.

Ten-year-old Anthony Sanders was honored by the St. Francis University School of Business Enactus chapter on Wednesday with the Young Emerging Entrepreneur Award.

Anthony, you’ll recall, is the boy whose Moxham lemonade stand was robbed last month, allegedly by a 12-year-old. That didn’t discourage Anthony, who was back on the street selling his lemonade – he hopes to buy a PlayStation 4 with his profits – the very next day.

So let’s raise a glass – lemonade of course – and toast Anthony for his spirit, as well as the St. Francis group and the Johnstown Police Department, which played a role in honoring the boy, for taking a very negative situation and recognizing the positive in it.
