Readers' Forum 5-2 | Swiss gov’t comparison grossly misleading

— Religious scandals have no borders

For the past seven years, I have noticed the headline stories in the newspaper about Catholic priest scandals. I don’t mind you doing this, if you would give equal time to the other religions.

I hear Protestant ministers are even worse, but, somehow, society today thinks the Catholic church is rich with evil.

Think about it and you should know that Satan’s No. 1 targets are our religious leaders of all faiths.

Jimmy Bakker was once a great evangelist, but he fell from grace. I believe Osama bin Laden was once a Muslim leader also.

If the devil can destroy our religious leaders, he is happy. A better thing for all of us to do is to pray for all of our wonderful spiritual leaders, because basically our beliefs are so similar.

Readers have a thirst for more about LaRod

On April 27, I was most happy to read and see featured our own LaRod Stephens-Howling, and it happened on his birthday. How very great he must feel.

Surely, he must have enjoyed a great family upbringing. Please, on a future date, feature his family and so much more as he progresses. We The Tribune-Democrat subscribers would appreciate reading about his accomplishments – his minor education, brothers and family; where did his parents come from?

As a Steelers fan, we’d all like to know.

His parents must be very proud of him.
