There is a wall on Frankstown Road that has been there for at least 80 years. That is about as long as I can remember.
Now, the road is finally being upgraded. I am very glad to hear that. But, and it is a big but, why are they removing the wall?
It has not moved forever, has not had any ice around it during the winter, and will not improve the road by its removal. What will happen is it will create another Menoher Highway. PennDOT will be closing the road for cleanups. And lots of luck removng it.
Just because something is old, that doesn’t mean it has outgrown its usefulness. I could not make the meeting that was held in Conemaugh Township due to another commitment. Otherwise, I would have been there and voiced my opinion.
Thank you for finally repairing Franks-town Road. It was a long time coming.
Free clinic provided great service
I am writing about my experience at the free clinic of Johnstown. For the last year and a half, I had no medical insurance or a way to obtain my medication that I need to sustain life.
So, I went to the free clinic and they helped me and treated me with the upmost dignity and respect of any doctor’s office I have ever been in. I know there are patients as thankful as I am.
All the staff at the clinic are truly a great credit to their profession. I now have medical insurance and have returned to my family doctor who is also a credit to the health profession.
In closing, I just wanted to say thank you for the service and volunteered time and dedication to the health field and the Johnstown area.
