Readers' Forum 5-14 | Kudos to all who donated to food drive

Submitted by Readers

— Thanks to all the people of Windber who donated food for the National Association of Letter Carriers’ food drive.

We’ll know soon how many pounds we gathered. I am going to say somewhere between 4,000 and 5,000 pounds.

Thanks to all the folks who helped at the Windber post office and all the people at the Windber Food Pantry.

Great job, folks.

Impeach Obama and remove from office

Who believes that the Obama administration is doing what is right for this country? Everything this charlatan promised has turned out to be a sham. The most transparent administration? Just the opposite. More affordable and better access to health care? Doubtful. Economic stability and prosperity? Stagnant.

Obama is a master at diversion and obfuscation. A lot of his supporters want to believe what he says is true. He is like the Pied Piper leading his followers over a cliff.

Obama thrives on the LIE (Limited Information Electorate) to push his twisted agenda. He could care less about the traditions of this country; just look at the actions he’s taken. The sycophant is more concerned about big government controlling our lives than protecting this country from the many threats to national security, such as unsecured borders, cyber breaches, Muslim terrorists and the steady slide toward national bankruptcy.

These are real problems that this administration doesn’t seem to want to deal with until something catastrophic takes place.

Just like a mindless water bug, the Obama administration does not know which way to turn. It is running out of other people to blame for its own faults at this point.

Recent and unfolding events seem to justify this claim.

For Obama, it seems that his refusal of the oath of office to uphold the Constitution is just too politically incorrect in his quest for socialism in the United States.

Therefore, I support the impeachment of Obama and his removal from office.

Abortion is not health care

“Can there ever be another holocaust?” asked someone in the audience during one of psychologist John Bradshaw’s lectures about two decades ago. His reply was, “Only if it were introduced through one of our trusted systems.”

In Nazi Germany during World War II, at least 6 million Jews were killed.

In 1973, abortion was legalized in this country. Since then, nearly 55 million babies have been killed in what had been the safest place for a baby.

Recently, President Obama addressed Planned Parenthood, which does the most abortions and for which our U.S. Treasury donates nearly half its budget annually.

Obama applauded Planned Parenthood for its concern for “women’s health issues.”

Proverbs 14:28 reads: “A large population is a king’s splendor, but a shortage of people is a ruler’s devastation.”

Nearly 55 million people are missing from our population – the oldest group would be 40 years old. God had a plan for each of those lives – babies not even allowed one breath – or if they did get a breath, life was snuffed out by the doctor who delivered him or her.

They would have been taxpayers. Instead of three workers for every retiree, the economy would be healthier.

Abortion is not health care. Any truthful obstetrician will tell you that with each abortion, a woman’s risk of cancer of any female organ increases. Google these and see for yourself. Infertility and post-traumatic stress disorder are often the results. Extreme sadness hits the woman each would-have-been birthday. Relationships end.

“Children are a heritage.” (Psalm 127:3)
