Megan Burns, Seamus Brackett

— Ron and Deborah Kerchner of Bethany Beach, Del., formerly of Westmont, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Megan Burns, to Seamus Brackett, son of James and Martha Brackett of Nashua, N.H. Miss Burns also is the daughter of Gary Burns of Forest, Va.
Miss Burns is a 1998 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and a 2002 graduate of Penn State, where she received a degree in communications.
She is a media buyer employed by National Media Inc., Alexandria, Va.
Mr. Brackett is a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School, Nashua, and the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where he received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
He is an officer with the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.
A June 2009 wedding is planned in Alexandria.
