Emily Karcher, Jimmy Tucker

Mike and Carla Karcher and Steve and Judy Tucker, all of Johnstown, have announced the engagement of their children, Emily Karcher and Jimmy Tucker.

Miss Karcher is a 2004 graduate of Bishop McCort High School and a 2009 graduate of St. Francis University, Loretto, where she earned a master’s degree in physician assistant sciences.

She is a physician assistant employed by Family Practice in Boswell.

Mr. Tucker is a 2003 graduate of Richland Senior High School and a 2007 graduate of Duquesne University.

In 2009, he earned a master’s degree in secondary education from California University of Pennsylvania.

He is a social studies teacher at Trinity High School in Washington, Pa.

A June 25 wedding is planned at Our Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church.
