“The Merchant of Venice” will be presented by Band of Brothers Shakespeare Company at 7 tonight and Saturday at Stackhouse Park, Westmont.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students.
Hip trip
Nail Soup Theatre Company will stage “The Really Hip Adventures of Go-Go Girl, Episode 9: Space Vixens with Sassy Attitudes” at 7 tonight and Saturday at Roxbury Bandshell, Franklin Street, Johnstown.
Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.
Therapeutic pets
The fourth annual Pet Therapy Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Community Arts Center of Cambria County, 1217 Menoher Blvd., Westmont.
Royal revue
“Carole King – A Musical Tribute” will have audiences humming at 8 tonight and Saturday at Cresson Lake Playhouse, 270 Shapiro Road, Loretto.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $8 for children younger than 12.
Gorgeous gardens
Johnstown Symphony Orchestra Auxiliary’s garden tour of Richland homes will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, with parking at Bethany United Methodist Church, 112 Leventry Road, Richland Township.
A shuttle bus will depart every 15 minutes until 12:15 p.m.
A donation of $25 benefits Johnstown Symphony Orchestra.
Classic cruise-in
Flood City Region Antique Auto Club will hold its third annual cruise-in from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Silver Drive-in, Scalp Avenue, Richland Township.
Registration is $6, with an additional charge for those attending the featured movie.
Spirited Somerfest
The 30th annual Somerfest will be held tonight through Sunday on the grounds of Laurel Arts at 214 S. Harrison Ave., Somerset.
There will be entertainment on two outdoor stages, and a parade will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Somerfest hours will be 6 p.m. to midnight tonight, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and $2 for children ages 5 to 12.
Children younger than 5 will be admitted free, and seniors will pay $1 admission on Sunday.
Art Works premiere
Samuel Beckett’s “Endgame” will be the first production of the newly formed Theatrematters at 8 tonight and Saturday at Art Works in Johnstown, 413 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors.
Bandshell blast
Acoustic rock with Ribbon Grass and rock with All in Good Time will continue the summer concert series at 5 p.m. Sunday at Roxbury Bandshell, Franklin Street, Johnstown.
Community music
Concerts-on-the-Green will continue with Civic Concert Band at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Community Arts Center of Cambria County, 1217 Menoher Blvd., Westmont.
Upcoming
Jazz and more
Jazz Along the River will resume with the music of Harold Betters from 6 to 9 p.m. July 25 at St. Mary’s Pavilion, Fifth and Power streets in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
Along with great jazz, visitors will have an opportunity to get up close and personal with members of the Johnstown Police Department during a two-hour informational session beginning at 4 p.m.
Officer Mike Kanuch said police officers will be at the pavilion to answer questions and display equipment.
Admission is free.
