Faithful to rally against addiction
Breaking the Chains, a local faith-based organization combating addiction, will hold a rally at 10:30 a.m. today at the Cambria County Courthouse in Ebensburg.
County Commissioner P.J. Stevens and others are scheduled to speak.
The group’s purpose is to break the chains of addiction by educating, organizing and mobilizing Christians in Cambria and surrounding counties.

JCS Bell Choir at Boswell church
Johnstown Christian School Bell Choir will minister in song at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Christian Community Church on Route 30 near Boswell.
Kristen Lloyd is the choir director.

Mount Sinai church sets special service
A post-anniversary service for the Rev. and Mrs. Jeremiah Hunter will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Sinai Institutional Baptist Church, 111 Cambria St., Johnstown.
Rev. Hunter is pastor of the church.
Guest speaker will be the Rev. Stephen B. Daniel, pastor of Mount Rise Baptist Church in Homestead, Allegheny County.
Ministry to receive prophetess
Abundant Life Ministry will receive Prophetess Debra Brassell of Works of Deliverance Fellowship during the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service in the Piedmont Salon, Holiday Inn, 250 Market St., Johnstown.
Wesley UM Church welcomes The Masters
The Masters will present a concert of Southern, contemporary and traditional gospel music during the 7 p.m. Sunday service at Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork.
The church is at Main and Church streets.
Pianio recital set at First Lutheran
Pianist Josie Merlino will present a recital at noon Tuesday at First Lutheran Church,
415 Vine St., Johnstown.
The free recital is open to the public and will be followed by a luncheon.
The recital series is supported by Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts, an annual appropriation from the state General Assembly and National Endowment for the Arts. Thrivent Financial for Lutherans helps to fund the luncheon.
