The 62nd annual Oakland Volunteer Fire Company Jubilee continues today and Saturday at the fire company grounds on Bedford Street in the Oakland section of Johnstown.
There will be one-price rides nightly, and the kitchen opens at 11 a.m. daily.
Windber wingding
The ninth annual Miners’ Memorial Day Weekend will be held today through Sunday in downtown Windber.
The weekend, which celebrates the Windber community’s coal-mining heritage, will kick off with a concert by Jimmy Sturr and his orchestra at 7 tonight at Arcadia Theater, 1418 Graham Ave.
All events are free except for the concert.
There will be a motorcycle show from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and an antique and classic car show from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
There will be a children’s area from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Windber Community Building and plenty of food and craft vendors.
Herbal essence
The 10th annual Pick-A-Dilly Herb Faire will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Dillweed Bed & Breakfast, Dilltown.
The free fair will feature flowering plants, perennials, water-garden plants, herbs, garden crafts and containers, original artwork, candles and dried gourds.
The event is co-sponsored by the Indiana County Herb Study Group.

Book nook
American Association of University Women’s used book sale will begin at noon today and continue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday near the elevators and fountain area at The Galleria, Richland Township.
On Saturday, all books will be $2 a bag.

Jazzy bandshell
The jazz of Corkey Christy will continue the summer concert series at 5 p.m. Sunday at Roxbury Bandshell, Franklin Street, Johnstown.
Something old
The 21st annual Antiques on the Diamond show and sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in downtown Ligonier.
Featured items from more than 60 dealers will include country and period furniture, quilts, pottery, glassware and china.
Ligonier Hose Co. No. 1 will hold a firemen’s auction at 10 a.m. at the firehouse, North Fairfield Street, and Heritage United Methodist Church will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
There is no admission charge.

Rockwood revelry
The 11th annual Rockwood River and Rails Festival will be held Thursday through June 22 at Rockwood Community Grove, Grandview Avenue.
There will be a carnival from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and June 20 and from noon to 10 p.m. June 21-22.
The festival will begin at 4 p.m. June 20, 9 a.m. June 21 and 9:30 a.m. June 22.
There is no admission charge or parking fee.
Music brewing
A coffeehouse to benefit Valley Youth Network’s mission trip will be held at 7 tonight at Mill Creek on Springer Road in Ligonier.
Performers are Bob Winters, Linda Biery, Bob Sites, The Remnants, Jeff and Martin, Lisa Houser, Keenen Parker and Zach Simons.
The students will prepare and serve the desserts and sing worship songs.
There also will be coffee and tea available for purchase.

Musical melodies
“The World Goes Round,” a musical revue of Broadway hits, will continue through June 21 at Cresson Lake Playhouse, 270 Shapiro Road, Loretto.
Showtimes are 8 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $8 for children younger than 12 years old.

Artistic possibilities
“Possibilities,” a display of art by alternatively abled artists, will be on display through June 27 at Choices Community Service Center, 119 Jari Drive, Richland Township.

“Stand By Your Man: The Tammy Wynette Story” will be presented today through Sunday at Mountain Playhouse, Jenners-town.
Tickets range in price from $15 to $36 for adults and $13 for students.
During the play’s run, the Jenner Art Gallery at Mountain Playhouse will open with a display of oil paintings by Dan Helsel done in the style of the Old Masters.

The fifth annual National Chainsaw Carving Festival sponsored by Confluence Lions Club will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Saturday at Addisons’ Community Park, Fike Lane.
Proceeds from a carving auction at 3 p.m. Saturday will benefit the Somerset County Blind Center.
