Wine educator Rob Campbell will explore the world-renowned wines of Burgundy, France, during a wine dinner at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Green Gables Restaurant, Jennerstown.
Campbell has been a wine professional for more than 25 years and has served as judge for the Atlanta Wine Festival and the Pacific Northwest Wine Summit. He has taught wine classes at Emory University and the Atlanta Culinary Institute.
Campbell specializes in Burgundy wines at The Wine Guy, his private wine shop in Asheville, N.C., and travels to Burgundy as a partner in The Wine Connection Corp.
Reservations are required to attend the dinner.

Girlfriend event will benefit playhouse
A Girls Night Out to benefit Cresson Lake Playhouse will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Young People’s Community Center, 300 Prave St., Ebensburg.
There will be a basket party, goodie bags, jewelry fashions, a wine tasting and displays by Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Lia Sophia, Color Me Beautiful and Shape Shifters.
A fashion show will be presented by Kevin Charles of Hollidaysburg.
Tickets are $15, and girlfriend group tickets are available for groups of 10 or more.

Garden club’s Web site growing
The Garden Club of Johnstown has completed the links to its new Web site so that those interested in the club have easy access.

The active club has a membership of 111 and is a member of the Garden Club Federation of Pennsylvania, Central Atlantic Region, and National Garden Clubs Inc.
