Amanda Strittmatter, daughter of Bernie and Tess Strittmatter of Ebensburg, has been awarded the Delta Epsilon Sigma National Scholastic Honor Society scholarship for the 2008-09 school year.
One student from each chapter was selected for the honor.
Strittmatter is a senior majoring in physical therapy at St. Francis University, Loretto, with minors in neuroscience and psychology.
She is the granddaughter of Ann Freidhof of Nicktown and John and Mary Strittmatter of St. Augustine.
Bishop Carroll grad heads to St. Vincent
Ross R. Agagliati, son of Rick and Chris Agagliati of Nanty Glo, has enrolled at St. Vincent College, Latrobe.
A 2008 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School, he was a member of the National Honor Society; Students Against Destructive Decisions; the Spanish, ski and pro-life clubs; Anti-Tobacco Coalition; and the health and wellness committee.
He also was a student ambassador and was named in “Who’s Who Among American High School Students.”
He plans to major in pre-health.
He is a member of St. Mary’s church.
