Gospel band slated for Moxham church
In Harmony Gospel Band will perform Sunday at Moxham Church of the Brethren, 536 Grove Ave., Johnstown, during the 10:10 a.m. worship service.
The Rev. William Wenger, pastor, will deliver the message, “A Song in Our Hearts,” based on Psalm 108.
The Break will resume for another season from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning Wednesday.
Masses set for ethnic fest workers
The Rev. Alan E. Thomas, pastor of Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, will celebrate Mass for the workers of the annual Cambria City Ethnic Festival at 10:30 tonight at the church, 324 Chestnut St. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
Thomas also will celebrate a Polka Mass at 10 a.m. Sunday.
Abundant Life will note anniversary
Abundant Life Ministry House of Prayer, 1067 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, will celebrate two years of ministerial service at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Evangelist Lisa Graves will be the morning speaker, and Pastor Sabrina Hardison of Works of Deliverance Fellowship will speak at the 4 p.m. service.
A banquet dinner will be held at 6 p.m. at Hoss’s Steak and Seahouse, 441 Theatre Drive, Richland Township.

Memorial service will honor 9/11 victim
A memorial service and presentation on behalf of William J. Moskal, a Johnstown native who was killed in the collapse of the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Power Street in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
Moskal’s wife will be in attendance, along with his Johnstown relatives.
Marian celebration at Resurrection church
Resurrection Roman Catholic Church, 324 Chestnut St. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown, is planning a Marian celebration to commemorate the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The event will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The focal point will be the recitation of the rosary. Music traditional to various nationalities will be included.
The service will conclude with benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
Youth Bible studies at Berkey church
Wednesday evening Bible studies will be held from 7 to 8 beginning Sept. 9 at the Berkey Church of the Brethren, 1038 Church Drive, Windber.
The classes are open for children ages 3 years old through high school. Events include music, stories, games and crafts.

Missionaries to Brazil will speak in Berlin
Jim and Ann Hemminger, missionaries to Brazil for the past 33 years, will speak at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Berlin Alliance Church.
A lady’s soup/salad supper will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Light House sponsors family skate night
Light House Morning Star Ministries, Cherry Tree, will sponsor a family skate night from 7 to 9 Thursday at the Indiana Roller Skating Rink.
The evening will feature Christian music and Christian fellowship.

9/11 remembrance at Trinity UM
First Christian Church will hold a community service of remembrance for Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 111 Willow St. in the Kernville section of Johnstown.
Fellowship and refreshments will follow the service.
Special service is set at Fountain of Life
A healing and miracle service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Fountain of Life Full Gospel Church, 225 Second St., Johnstown.
