Johnstown graduate receives bachelor’s
Daniel Lovrich, son of Dan and Karen Lovrich of Johnstown, has received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Wake Forest University.
Lovrich graduated magna cum laude and plans to complete graduate studies in accountancy at Wake Forest in 2009.
He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma and Golden Key Honor Society.
Lovrich is a 2004 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School.

McCort graduate attends St. Vincent
Emily J. Petrowsky, daughter of Richard and Catherine Petrowsky, has been accepted for admission to St. Vincent College, Latrobe, for the fall semester.
Petrowsky is a 2008 graduate of Bishop McCort High School, Johnstown, where she was a member of the Key Club, Pep Club and Spanish Club.
Clarion students are on homecoming court
Three area students were chosen for the homecoming court for the Autumn Leaf Festival at Clarion University of Pennsylvania:
Brad Lepley, son of Debbie Lepley of Boswell, is a graduate of North Star High School, Boswell.
A freshman accounting major, he was sponsored by Delta Zeta sorority.
Brittany Popchak, daughter of Matthew and Teresa Popchak of Johnstown, is a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School.
A sophomore elementary education major, she was sponsored by university students.
Matthew Wass, son of David and Marcy Wass of Addison, is a graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School, Confluence.
A senior secondary education/social studies major, he was sponsored by Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity.
Toastmasters club elects officers
Deb Robertson of Robinson has been elected president of the Johnstown Toastmasters Club.
Other officers are Larry Olek, vice president of education; Mary Jo Berardone, vice president of membership; Barry Frye, vice president of public relations; Ken Bailey, secretary-treasurer; and Steve LaPorta, sergeant at arms, all of Johnstown.
