The 35th free summer Concerts on the Green will feature Jerry Intihar from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of Community Arts Center of Cambria County, 1217 Menoher Blvd., Westmont.

His styles include polkas, waltzes, country, American standards, Latin music, big band, Jimmy Buffett cover songs and oldies.

The Scottdale Area Concert Band will perform a free band concert at 7 p.m. Sunday on the Diamond in Ligonier.

The band plays marches and show tunes.

The concerts are sponsored by the Ligonier Valley Chamber of Commerce, and guests should bring their own seating.

In case of rain, the performance will be held inside the town hall auditorium.

The 50-piece Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday on the grounds of Fort Ligonier, 200 N. Graham St., Ligonier.

Guests should bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating.

Admission is free.

Summer Music on the Square concert series will feature The Community Singers of Bedford County at 2 p.m. Sunday at the gazebo in downtown Bedford.

The free concert will feature patriotic and summertime musc.

Family musical

“Fiddler on the Roof” will be presented through July 6 at Cresson Lake Playhouse, 279 Shapiro Road, Loretto.

Curtain times are 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays.

Tickets are $17 for adults and $10 for students younger than age 18.

Bandshell blast

AmeriServ Free Summer Concerts at Roxbury Bandshell will continue Sunday at the bandshell at Roxbury Park along Franklin Street, Johnstown.

Flood City Brass will perform horn-based rock at 5 p.m.

The nine-piece band plays a variety of rock, soul, funk, ballads, pop and rhythm and blues.

Performance venue

Music is on the menu at the Venue of Merging Arts, 305 Chestnut St. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.

Blues Gathering with Scott Jeffreys will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, with doors opening at 7:30.

Admission is $7 at the door or $5 for VIP admission.

A teen open mic night will be held from 7:30 to 9:30 Tuesday.

The first half will be an open mic for anyone, and the second half will feature a local teen band performing.

Concessions will be available.

Good cause

The third annual 5K run/fun Walk for Vets will be held beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Forest Hills High School, 547 Locust St., Sidman.

Registration will be held from 8 to 9 a.m. and is $20.

Runners will race on Forest Hills’ cross-country course, and walkers will be on the track with no separate timing.

Awards will be given for men and women in the top three overall and separate age groups.

Proceeds will benefit Veterans Community Initiatives.
