Religion in brief | Church to observe pastor's anniversary

The congregation of Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, 270 Hoffman Ave., Windber, will hold a special celebration during the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service to recognize the 20th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Ronald St. Clair.

Berkey church sets strawberry festival

A strawberry festival to benefit the outreach ministry will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Berkey Church of the Brethren, 1038 Church Drive, Windber.

Program to focus on John Wesley

“The Man from Aldersgate,” a one-man presentation on the life of John Wesley, will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Franklin Street United Methodist Church, 510 Locust St., Johnstown.

UM conference to ordain pastor

The Rev. Rebecca Wynn Patterson will be ordained as a full ministerial member into the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference, United Methodist Church, during its gathering Sunday at Grove City College.

Patterson is pastor of the Shanksville and Central City United Methodist churches.
