JOHNSTOWN —

First Presbyterian

Christ the King Sunday will be observed during the 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship service at First Presbyterian Church, 309 Lincoln St., Johnstown.

Scriptures will be taken from  Philippians 2:1-11 and John 18:33-38.

The Festival of the Nativity will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and Dec. 1 and from 1:15 to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2.

Flood City

Pastor Sienie Stieler, an evangelist from South Africa, will speak during the 9 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services at Flood City Church, 1723 Scalp Ave., Johnstown.

Grove Avenue UM

The Rev. Ed Schoeneck will lead the Sunday worship services at Grove Avenue United Methodist Church, 501 Grove Ave. in the Moxham section of Johnstown.

His message will be “What Kind of King Is This,” based on John 18:33-37.

A contemporary service will begin at 9 a.m. Music will be provided by Eclectic Praise Band, directed by Denise Baldwin. Fellowship will follow.

Adult Sunday school will begin at 9:15. Children’s Sunday school will begin at 9:30.

A traditional service will begin at 10:45. Judy Custer, organist and choir director, will lead the choir in an anthem.

Nursery will be available. The coordinator is Mandy Gonzales.

Holy Trinity

Christ the King will be celebrated during the 8 and 10:40 a.m. Sunday worship services at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 Main St., Berlin.

Sunday school will begin at 9:30.

Bible study will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday.

Johnstown fellowship

Pastor Gary L. Tustin will speak about “Lesson Learned in Night Seasons” during the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, 3429 Elton Road.

Pastor Jim Gay will speak on “O Holy Night” at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Connection Cafe will begin at 6, followed by PACT youth and children classes at 7.

Laurel Hill

Evangelist Jerry Sivnksty of Starr, S.C., will speak during  the 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday worship services and at 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday at Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, Route 985, Jennerstown.

Sunday school will be held at 9:45.

A staffed nursery will be available.

Wednesday prayer service will begin at 7 p.m.
