Religion in brief | Bishop McCort will sponsor Spanish Mass



Holy Trinity

Worship services for Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 525 Main St., Berlin, will be held at 5:30 tonight and 9 a.m. Sunday, followed by Sunday school at 10:15.

Johnstown fellowship

Pastor Gary L. Tustin will speak about “From Victim to Victor” during the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship, 3429 Elton Road.

Connection Cafe will be held from 6 to 6:45 p.m., with children and youth classes following at 7.

Pastor Jim Gay will be speaking on “Carols – Away in a Manger” during the 7 p.m. Wednesday service.

Laurel Trinity

Worship services will be held at 8:45 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday at Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, 7520 Somerset Pike, Jennerstown, with the Rev. Traci Bowman officiating.

Little Angels Daycare will be available from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with Preschool II from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and Preschool I from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Bible study will be held at 8 a.m. Wednesday at Coal Miner’s Cafe, followed by Knotty Women at 9 and choir practice at 6 p.m.

The preschool Christmas program will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday and Friday.

The Rev. Guy Myers will speak about “Prepared for His Coming,” with Scripture from Matthew 25:1-13, at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, 106 Spring Road, Hollsopple.

Preschool and junior church will be available for children ages 4 through Grade 6.

Sunday school will begin at 9:40. Kidz Klub and Sunday Nite Youth will begin at 6:30 p.m.


Memorial Baptist

World famous trumpeter Chiz Rider will present a Christmas concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Baptist Church, 210 Vine St. in downtown Johnstown.

Mount Hope UM

The Rev. Jason McQueen will hold worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, 258 Mount Hope Road, South Fork.

Sunday school will begin at 9 a.m. with youth at 6 p.m.
