In brief | Artists' collaboration at Art Works

JOHNSTOWN — “Catalyst,” a collaboration of artwork from 11 Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduate students, will be on display from Saturday through June 6 at Art Works in Johnstown! 413 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.

The exhibition will showcase a variety of mediums ranging from paintings and sculptures to ceramics and wood furniture.

An opening reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

The reception and exhibit are free.

Area magic club schedules show

The Somerset County Magic Club will present an afternoon of magic and laughs at 3 Sunday at the Confluence Creative Arts Center.

Five area magicians have developed a family-friendly show to amaze and amuse an audience of all ages.

The magicians are Louis Paul, Dody-Jane Svetahor, Dan Miller, Gary Weimer and Derrick Robey.

Admission is free, but a free-will collection will be taken to support renovations to the arts center.
