Calendar of events

Upcoming events and programming at Venue of Merging Arts (VOMA), located at 305 Chestnut St. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown, are:

Open Mic Night: 8 p.m. Thursdays. Admission is $3 and BYOB permitted for patrons older than age 21 with identification. Sign-up is at 7 until full. Performances start at 7:15 and continue until 10.

Various rotating monthly co-hosts include:

Week 1: Hip-hop with Fifty Six and Running

Week 2: Acoustic with Adam Milkovich

Week 3: Experimental with Mike Miller

Week 4: Acoustic with Ray Flores

Blues Gathering: 8 p.m. the last Saturday of each month, $5 cover and hosted by Scott Jeffreys.

The players change, but the theme remains the same: Avant garde improvisational blues based on the classics.

Jazz Series: 7:30 p.m. first Saturday of each month, starting in April. Cover is $10.

Teen Night at VOMA (Open Mic and Live Bands): 7:30 p.m. first Friday of each month, with a $5 cover charge.

VOMA Gallery featuring original art and entertainment.

Club VOMA: Destination for local talent, national touring groups and entertainers.
