JOHNSTOWN — High School Boys

Conemaugh Twp. 73 Berlin 59

BERLIN – Josh Burns scored 23 points, Dillon Boyer had 21 and Jeff Fisher netted 18 as Conemaugh Township defeated host Berlin.

The Mountaineers’ Jake Snyder had 33 points, including eight of Berlin’s 14 3-pointers.

Drew Glotfelty had 12 points and Zac Cooney scored 11.

Bishop McCort 70 Somerset 50

Nemo Trexler scored 19 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Bishop McCort against visiting Laurel Highlands conference foe Somerset.

Billy Hipp had 17 points, Adam Pastorek 12 and Gap Barbin 10 for the Crimson Crushers.

Michael Flyte and Brent Barron led Somerset with 14 and 11 points, respectively.

Penn Cambria 62 Central Cambria 32

EBENSBURG – A.J. Leahey’s 22 points topped Penn Cambria while Devin Lawhead contributed 13 for the Panthers.

Tanner Ambrisco and Scott Holsinger led Central Cambria with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Gino Tsikalas had eight steals for the Red Devils.

Johnstown 69 Bedford 40

Phillip Madison scored a game-high 27 points, including five 3-pointers as Greater Johnstown defeated visiting Bedford in a non-section Laurel Highlands game.

Roshon Fields added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Trojans, who led 45-19 at the half.

Shaquan Reid also had 10 points for Johnstown (14-6).

Zack Kendall topped the Bisons with 11 points.

Richland 51

Westmont Hilltop 41

Three Richland players scored in double figures as the Rams defeated crosstown rival Westmont Hilltop in an LHAC Section 2 battle.

Luke Shertzer scored 18 points while Matt Shaffer had 13 and Kyle Flick supplied 10 for the Rams (9-9).

The Hilltoppers got a game-high 20 points from Mike Vliet along with 12 points from Conor Mendelson.

Ferndale 65 Rockwood 58

ROCKWOOD – Chad Eisenhuth scored 29 points as visiting Ferndale beat Rockwood.

Luke Miller had 15 points, Brady Yachere had 14 and Ethan Keifer had 11 for Rockwood.

North Star 64 Salisbury-Elk Lick 60

SALISBURY – Devon Richard scored a game-high 33 points to help lead North Star to its first win of the season, against host Salisbury-Elk Lick.

Steve Mort supplied 15 points for the Cougars.

Diori Pattison topped the Elks with 24 points and teammate Nathan Bodes added 23.

Shade 68, Portage 36

CAIRNBROOK – Wade Walker had 24 points, 15 rebounds and three steals while Ryan Fyock added 22 points as he returned from an injury in Shade’s victory over visiting Portage.

Fyock had six rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots.

Nash Walker had five assists and Brock Medva added four assists.

Brandon Madigan led Portage with 11 points.

Shanksville 50 Windber 42, OT

SHANKSVILLE – Host Shanksville outscored Windber 13-5 in overtime to beat the Ramblers.

Ryan Platt had 15 points, Carter Slade scored 12 and Jordan Wilt added 11 for the Vikings.

Devon Tomlinson led Windber with 11 points while Colt Ursino and Tyler Zabrucky each had 10 points.

High School Girls

Ligonier Valley 60 Saltsburg 18

LIGONIER – Taylor Rudnik scored 22 points and Kyra Ludwig had 12 points as Ligonier routed visiting Saltsburg.

Rudnik had 11 points in the opening quarter and tallied 20 points by intermission. Maddy Grimm had 10 steals, nine points, nine rebounds and nine assists.

Johnstown 58

ARMAGH – Eden Bloom had 29 points and 11 rebounds as host United held off Johnstown.

Johnstown’s Tashayla Smith scored 26 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in the setback.

Lexi Lindrose had 10 points.

College Men

Robert Morris 60

St. Francis 48

PITTSBURGH – Lucky Jones scored a game-high 20 points and Karvel Anderson chipped in 17 to guide Robert Morris over visiting Saint Francis.

The Red Flash stayed within striking distance for most of the game before the Colonials

(16-8, 8-3) pulled away with under seven minutes to play.
