Dinner benefits Day Center

LORETTO – The Dorothy Day Center at St. Francis University will host a spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Feb. 9.

The dinner will be held at St. Michael’s School Hall in Loretto. The menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, garlic bread and dessert.

Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children age 12 and under.

All proceeds benefit the Dorothy Day Center.

Saddle club makes donation

The Greater Johnstown Saddle Club and Golden Star Horse Farm presented a $15,000 donation to Windber Hospice from its annual benefit Horse Show that was held in August at the Greater Johns-town Saddle Club in Salix.

The fundraiser helps Windber Palliative Care Foundation keep up with a growing demand for its services.

The hospice is located at Windber Medical Center.
