Police seeking holdup suspect

JOHNSTOWN — Johnstown police said they are searching for a local man believed to be the masked gunman who robbed a pizza delivery person in Moxham on Tuesday.

The suspect is Arthur Paul Stiffler III, 19, of Von Lunen Road in Johnstown, police said Friday.

Police allege that Stiffler made a bogus call for a pizza, then robbed the woman who was delivering it to a home in the 500 block of Cypress Avenue around 11 p.m.

The woman told police she was approached by a man who had a mask partially covering his face.

The robber pulled a handgun and told her, “Give me everything you have.”

The woman turned over $39 and her cellphone, and the gunman fled, police said.

The woman told police that she recognized the man’s voice.

He was later identified as Stiffler.

Police also determined that the pizza order was phony, Chief Craig Foust said.

Stiffler is wanted on charges of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and reckless endangerment.
